Princess Puddy #pezoutlaw #hollywood @pezoutlaw

Real Quick the legal stuff.
From 9/26/2021 this childrens book is solely owned by Moriah Newman. All rights n funds for its publication are hers. Steven J. Glew.

OK, Now let's let Puddy tell her story.

The story is told in the voice of Princess Puddy aka Tootsie.

Puddy. I've been waiting a very long time to tell you this story.
The story I wanna tell you is how my sister Bill n Pinky joined our family.
The story actually starts in the next chapter, first I want to introduce my family.

People try to call me Tootsie but that's not my real name. My real name is Princess Puddy. I'm a Dachshund puppy about 8 inches tall to the top of my head. I live on a big farm with lots of dogs n horses.

My dog family is.
Aunt Lou. She takes care of us all n has raised every pup here for over 10 years.

Billy 2 Knives my twin sister. Billy got her name for running around with scissors in her mouth. Billy is a black Great Dane about ten times as big as me. She lays down so when we play, it's fare. Billy n I are the same age.

Rudy a very big red Bull Mastiff. Rudy sits on the hill n watches over everything.

Po Po is a brindle (many dark colors). Po Po is or was intended to learn from Rudy, so she could take over for her like Rudy took over for Chica. I don't think that's gonna work out. Po Po just does not want the job. As crazy as my sister Billy is I think she's gonna have to do the job eventually.

Pinky. Pinky or as the Coyotes call him Ghost Dog. Pinky is a white Doberman. Rudy watches everything from the hill, Pinky patrols the field.

I was telling you about Chica, the first big red dog that started our family. To remember her, we have a giant Castle on the edge of the woods with her Golden Bowl that I sleep in on warm sunny days.

Chapter 1. Billy 2 Knives #pezoutlaw #hollywood @pezoutlaw

I may be small but I live a very big life, I have an entire woods all mine to run around in.

About a year ago I was playin in the wood like usual when I heard a dog crying on the farthest end of the woods.

I've heard the stories of Ghost Dog. The rabbits say he roams the woods at night, chasing the Coyotes away. I was only six months old then but I was not scared. I'd never been that deep in the woods but the puppy I heard sounded real scared, so I headed for her cries.

Billie 2 Knives

On my way to her, I kept thinking that I saw something white in the corner of my eye. It didn't scare me cause somehow It felt like Ghost Dog was watching over me n protecting me so I could help the puppy that was so alone n scared.

I finally made it all the way to the farthest edge of my woods. When I got there I found a puppy ten times as big as me tied to a tree with a rope. She was very scared n hungry. I told her not to worry that Ghost Dog would protect us till we got to my house where Aunt Lou would fetch her a big bowl of food.

The big puppy told me that she was the same age as me but she had made the people she lived with crazy. She told me the things that they got mad about n I just did not understand, cause I do that stuff all the time. Billy said, yeah but you're real small n very cute so I bet they think you're cute when you do it. Billy said, my people wanted a really big dog but then they realized that I'm a really big dog. Everything I do is very big, I can reach things 5 feet high n when I run real fast I can fly in mid air for over ten feet. The reality of me n how big I really am was more than they imagined.

I told her that that was just stupid, Aunt Lou wouldn't care about that stuff. So I took a really good look at that knot around that tree. Here's where being a very small dog with a long narrow nose comes in real handy. I can reach into real small places n grab hold. I had her untied in no time.

On the way home I asked her her name. She told me her name was Billy Two Knives. Then Billy told me the story about running real fast in her old house with a pair of open scissors in her mouth. Believe it or not that wasn't the reason her people threw her away. Billy told me the reason was people think they want a really big dog, but have no idea what living with a really big dog is like.

I told her Aunt Lou would not care because she had been kinda wild herself when she was a puppy. Plus Billy we look just alike, we are the same age, Billy we are twins. Billy looked at me real puzzled cause she felt like she was this really big awkward giant n here I am this really small very cute little dog. Puzzled as what I had said made Billy, we never talked about it again. I told her that she was my twin sister n that was that.

We got home n I told Aunt lou the whole story including that I had seen Ghost Dog. Aunt Lou smiled n got Billy some food, she even smiled when I told her Billy was my twin.

That was that Billy was now a part of a real family. She never had to worry again, because if she got in trouble I'd protect her.

Chapter 2. Ghost Dog #pezoutlaw #hollywood @pezoutlaw

Ghost Dog

Every since that day when Ghost Dog protected me so I could save my twin sister Billy, Aunt Lou has been letting me take little bags of food down to the woods for Ghost Dog. I don't think Aunt Lou believes me that Ghost Dog is real n not just a story the rabbits tell.

Aunt Lou doesn't care cause now I got Billy to watch over me when I play in the Woods. I tell her that really it's Ghost Dog n that he's real skinny. So Aunt Lou just smiles n gives me small bags of food.

Billy n  I take the food down to the edge of the woods to Boomies Castle, then pour it into her golden bowl. After that we run real fast n hide behind some trees to wait. We did this for about a week, each morning we'd show up at Boomies golden bowl n it would be empty, so we'd refill it n wait. Finally after a couple weeks we caught sight of Ghost Dog across the meadow from Boomies castle in the trees. Ghost Dog just watched us while we filled the bowl.

I looked over at him n said, thank you for protecting me when I untied Billy. He said, you gotta be careful out here. Coyotes.

I asked him, why do you live out here? Ghost Dog said, because nobody wants me. I lived in a house with a family but they got so mad at me that we went for a ride in the car. At first I thought it was really fun, wow we are going somewhere. Then when we got out here in the country, they pushed me out of the car n drove away.

Ghost Dog said. At first living here in the country was fun, but then I got real hungry. I found some food n the Coyotes showed n chased me away before I could eat hardly at all. For the next 2 weeks the coyotes chased me all the time. Then I decided that I'd had enough n I needed to eat. So I started to chase them.

Then Ghost Dog came out of the trees n I finally could see him real good. His back was covered in old burn marks, so I asked him how he got them. Ghost Dog said. Well that's why the people at my old home threw me away. I'm always hungry n they had food cooking on there stove. I climbed up to get some n put my foot on the handle to the pan flipping the hot grease all over my back.

Wow I told him, that must have really hurt. Ghost Dog said not as much as not being wanted by anybody anymore.

Chapter 3. Rudy #pezoutlaw #hollywood @pezoutlaw

Puddy. Things went this way for a while.

Every day Aunt Lou gave us food to take down to Boomies Castle, to fill the Golden Bowl for in her mind our imaginary friend.

Billie n I would talk with Ghost Dog for a while, then off we'd go for an adventure. Ghost Dog always warned us to be careful cause the Coyotes popped up sometimes kinda sudden n they could be very dangerous.

One day Billie n I were exploring a very deep hole, wondering who might live there. Then all of a sudden the coyotes showed up. We didn't see them at first but knew they were there. They edged up until we were almost in the hole with nowhere to go. One of the coyotes grabbed at me with his mouth, so I jumped back real fast. He got me a little bit but the real problem was I fell into the deep hole we'd been exploring n there was no way I was getting out anytime soon.

That's when everything went nuts. Ghost Dog came flying out of the woods n he was not foolin around. He Yelled at Billie, "You get her outa there n take her home so Aunt Lou can fix her up. I can take care of this until you get away."

There were 3 coyotes n only one Ghost Dog but Billie did what he said. Billie jumped down in the hole reached up to the edge with her front feet, making a bridge so I could climb on her back n get out. Once I'd made it out of the hole, Billie just leaped out of there. We skedaddled towards home, fast as we could.

When Billie n I got home we could hardly breath cause we ran so fast. Aunt Lou told us to settle down n noticed I was bleeding from where the coyote had grabbed me. She asked us what happened. We told her the story n that Ghost Dog saved us but he was not doing so good n needed help fast.

Right then n there Aunt Lou started believing in Ghost Dog, she also started believing all the stories I'd told her about him.

Aunt Lou turned sharply to the hill where Rudy was keeping watch. Aunt Lou's words cracked like a whip when she said. "RUDY, GO DOWN THERE N BRING OUR BOY HOME."

Rudy

This is the part that you had to see to understand. I knew everybody respected Rudy but I never knew why. You see it once n you never question it again.

Rudy started getting up n with each shoulder that rose she seemed to get bigger n bigger. Rudy was a giant dog. When Rudy took off for the woods the ground shook under her feet. Billy n I had to see what was about to happen.

We followed far enough back to be safe but close enough to see. Rudy got to the top of the hill then she went in without saying a word. Ghost Dog was trapped in the middle of those coyotes n they just kept clawing at him cutting his legs.

I never knew coyotes could climb trees but when they saw that giant dog coming at them, that's exactly what they did. The coyotes knew Rudy was very serious that they stop immediately or this was gonna get real bad for them.

Ghost Dog came over by us while the coyotes pleaded. We didn't know he was part of your family. Rudy spoke for the first time since she'd gotten up from her place on the hill. Rudy Said, "Pinky Boy lives at my house n you need to understand that I stand next to him. You pick a fight with him, you pick a fight with me. He yells at you to get out of our woods, believe him. Cause I'm telling you to get out of our woods. Don't make me come down here to remind you."

With that Rudy turned n we all went home. On the way home Rudy said, Pinky Boy are you OK? Pinky said he'd had worse. With Rudy's words Ghost Dog became Pinky Boy. You see Rudy thinks in very simple terms, Ghost Dog to her looked like a little Pink Boy.

On the way home Billie n I grabbed the Golden Bowl from Boomies Castle so Pinky would finally have his own bowl.

Aunt Lou said she thought that was a very nice idea n wrote Pinky's new name on his new bowl.
Pinky finally had a home.

Pinky still goes down to the woods every night where he becomes Ghost Dog once again n reminds the coyotes of Rudy's words of warning.

Authors Note:
I'm not ashamed to tell you I always tear up when I read Rudy's chapter.
The reason I tear up is that this story is based on real life events.
Again I'd like to say.
There are to many terrorist in the world n not enough story tellers.
